What is the Screen

The history of photography is also the history of the different media for photographic images. Until now, the walls of museums and the pages of magazines and books were the usual medium for the contemplation of photographs. Solid images have now been dematerialised to live on the surface of screens.

This new and interesting ecosystem of the life of images has given rise to one of the most important sections of La Nuu: SCREEN.

The SCREEN section was launched in 2018 and has become one of the most important actions of the festival. Linked to the announcement of a prize, this section aims to be the loudspeaker of a new language that is growing with La Nuu. SCREEN wants to give an account of this new format, of these new photographic creations in audiovisual format, that is, of these new photographic works designed to be exhibited and displayed on screens.
